Hi. This is a little hard to describe. After diagnosing the battery/voltage issue as needing to replace the voltage regulator/rectifier for my 2005 Arctic Cat 500 manual ATV, I ordered a new replacement. I finally got the old one removed and wiring unhooked and then plugged in the 3-pin connector with no problem, but then realized when ready to plug in the 4-wire harness that the 2 black wires & 2 red wires evidently were made to individually unplug from the old regulator harness. I thought those wires had a male plug-in, but the individual wires came out and now I don't know which male wire end plugs into which female receiver in the harness on the new regulator. I did what I thought might be right since there are 2 black & 2 red wires from the atv and on the regulator, but there is no power to the key now to turn on lights or start it. And now when I try to pull them out to replug them in with a different configuration, they are impossible to pull back out of the new regulator harness. Hope this info and question is understandable lol. Do you have any advice? Thank you.
