Does anyone know what the max rpm is supposed to be on an XF 1100 non-turbo. I was thinking it was around 8300rpm. I went for a drive the other day and hit the tell-tale max rpm on the guage it showed 8900 rpm! I never had it past 3/4 throttle. I know my 4s phazer would rev 12'000rpm but I was sure these aren't made to rev that hi.

Have the same sled. Mine also shows a high number for max rpm, but when I first saw it, I was careful to watch my operating RPMs and never saw them go over about 8200. So, I figured that I got that momentary spike gunning it off a jump, or possibly from the belt slipping when starting out cold. I would say to not worry about it unless you see your RPM gets too high during riding. Heres a Dyno test that shows that a stock 1100 na motor gets its peak HP at 8500 RPM, and that peak HP with their Aftermarket Muffler came at 8700 rpm.
