Just bought a DVX 400. So far I have only 1 issue. The atv only runs when bump started with the gas set on prime. If the machine is running and I turn the fuel to on, the atv stalls. Once the atv is running, it will drive and idle perfectly all day long. If the machine is hot, I can start it right back up with electric start but if it cools down to much I’m back to bump start. Any help is appreciated.

Sure sounds like a cold start choke issue. Have you ever cleaned the carb ultrasonically? When you shut the fuel off, does it stop immediately or takes a minute or two?

I just bought it. Guy said he had the carb cleaned but like I said once it starts it runs perfectly. Once I switch the gas to on it stalls a min or 2 later
Valve clearances are super tight (won’t make the vacuum needed to operate the diaphragm valve, hence why it needs to be on prime to run continuously)
Also the very reason you have to bump start it (as compression is low and needs higher rpms than starter motor can provide)

its lacking air to start if it only starts with the boot removed.
