I went to a bolt supply place this morning and took the washer that goes on the OUTSIDE of the fixed plate, this washer fits perfectly behind the fixed plate but I found it to be too thick. I installed it behind the fixed plate and it caused my belt to rub the case around the secondary. The one they had was just a little thinner, i'm going to try it in a bit!

 

i have the bike at the cabin, so i was hoping to pick up the shims i need before i go up. so i dont know the diamiter of the splined shaft or how tall i can use for regular washers if need be. hard to believe that some dealers can only get things if u give part numbers......

You'll need a washer or shim with a hole at least 20mm in diameter and an outside diameter of no more than 30 mm. The one I found was 1mm thick
The washer on the outside of the fixed plate is about 1.5mm
