Well was doin some donuts in some gravel. 2 of them. Then at the end it just sorta died out. Now it starts up as normal. But anything past 1/4 throttle it just sputters. At full throttle it just putters. But it is a constant putter. Like the electronics is retarding it. Any ideas ?

Does it rev up in neutral? Is the problem when the engine is under load?

#5 ·
Acts the same either way. In neutral low or high

#6 ·
Does it go away if you hold the reverse override button?

#7 ·
nope..doesnt change at all when the override button is pressed

#8 ·
Sounds to me that you fried the belt, but can't be sure since you didn't answer my questions

sorry bud..thought i did

no it will not rev up in neutral either...acts the same in any gear position...whether it would be neutral, reverse, low or high

i will take a video if it in a few..well give me an hour....please look for it soon...

thanks

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I took apart all the electrical connection blew the water out of them and dielectric greased them up. Started it up. Had the same crap. Tool carb off. Took apart(soft screws) and that's where the problem looked to be ! There was chunks in there ! Cleaned it up, did the slide mod while I was there. Put it back together and sure runs like the kitty cat I knew it was. I'm thinking it got in through the drain on bottom of carb. I plugged that thing up now.
Thanks for all the help guys

Sorry I just got to this man. As I was watching your video my first thought was "plugged carb". You likely jarred some junk loose when you were doing donuts. One way to help avoid this from happening again is to install an inline fuel filter between your fuel tank and your carb. Runs ya $5 at any hardware store, but it'll save your day.

no doubt sanny...will get that filter put in this week !!

+1 on the fuel filter!!

ORILEY's - $7 / extra filter filament - $2

I just cleaned my CARB and did the slide mod last wkend (w/yooper's help) and I'm positive that IF I'd installed this filter earlier on.....all the gummy varnish build-up and crap in the jets may have been avoided.
