I have a '05 650 V2 (with a factory 2500# winch) and i boke the rocker switch on my bars for the winch. I'm trying to remove the Ins. Pod so i can remove and replace the rocker switch and the wiring that goes to my winch control box, but i can't figure out how to get the "black tabs" off of the pod out without breaking them. Do they turn out or do the pull out? I did notice that the "black tabs" have a slot underneith the head of the tab; do i need a special tool? Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,

thsamd

Take a flat screwdriver and insert it in the slot and pry the center section out. The pull the rest out. To remove the pod pull the face side up and over the instrument panel and the remove it from the bars.

those are kinda like plastic rivets just pry out the center (very carfully) and the big part of the rivet come rite out and they install in the reverse way and unscrew the key switch nut
