Having a hard time starting ? How do you take reeds out on these sleds ?

So haven't done it before last year end of the season my 06 m7 started getting hard to start took way more pull but would still sometimes start in 1 or 2 pulls but most of the time was harder and last couple rides of the season this started happening. Nothing on the sled changed or anything also noticed when its pointed down hill it was usually even harder and sometimes had to hold throttle a bit and pull at the same time to help and that barley did it. A few guys suggested i could have a cracked reed so want to check into it and get it fixed. Just wanting to know how hard it is and how to go about pulling reeds on these engines/sleds. Any info would be great also if this has happened to you or you have suggestions of what else to check that would be greatly appreciated also !!

Not a easy task. You have to remove hood, front air intake to the chassis. Then you will see a rubber boot that goes from the front chassis to the throttle body. This boot does come out from the front thru the chassis hole. Unbolt fuel line and clamps to throttle body to reeds. You will see a small cam that goes from the throttle body to lower oil pump cam. It just pops off. You do not have to remove the throttle body just move it to the side. Now you can unbolt the reeds. You will need swivel sockets and long extensions to do this in 1/4 drive. It's not easy and will take a couple of hours. Email me if you need a hand . toddfisette@gmail.com

What else could this sound like to you ? Bad fuel pressure or maybe bad compression , or could it have been a bad batch of fuel or a little water got in the fuel ? Also is there fuel filters on these sleds if so where are they located ? Im going to drain all fuel and then put a little new fuel in and take it out to clean the tank then more new fuel and fuel stabilizer.

The funny thing to me is once started it ran fine and from what I remeber all power was there and everything seemed normal.

011 M8 SP I pulled reeds myself to find out why warm engine restarts are becoming a problem. I found I have V-force reeds installed by previous owner. They do'nt show wear and hold out light. My ?? is why dosn't the antifreeze drain out. The throttle body hose conection is lower than the engine block and heat exchanger. Very little came out. Do I need to worry about bleeding air or was that an 03 firecat issue only?
