So Im flying down the trail on my 2013 F800 and I hit a ditch filled with wet slush. When I grab the gas to continue down the trail I have no power, the sled just bogs. So I figure the belt/clutch got wet and its slipping? But then I realize its the engine not making power....every time I give it a handful of gas it bogs and hesitates. I continue to ride since Im almost back to home and I now notice there is a high pitch whining sound coming from the sled. It almost sounded like a loud cooling fan running at high speed(which I dont think have on my sled). The sound seems to be coming out of the top of the machine not on either side. I shut down the sled. I restart it and the sound is gone. I take it for a ride and the hesitation also seems to be gone. I would love to have a clue as to what happened. The dealer seemed pretty clueless. Any ideas?

The smart valves are the fuel pick ups on the bottom of the tank. The valves are supposed to keep it from sucking air as the fuel is sloshing from the front to the back of the tank. I have a similar problem when my sled is low on fuel and I get into some really rough trails or I hit a big drift or line ditch. It usually only lasts a few seconds, but it's annoying as hell.
