I want to monitor the engine on my 2002 ZR 600 EFI alittle better, and I don't know what the best way to go is. I was thinking an exhaust temp sensor which would tell me if I am running lean or rich. I don't know if I would need a temp sensor as well or if it would be over kill. I have been looking at the Westach Gauges and the AC temp Gauge. Does anyone have some input on this subject. I am looking for any and all the info I can get. Thanks.

:) Exhaust probes on both cylinders for rich/lean
condition.. good idea coolant temp gauge.. good
idea.. lets you know if you are low on coolant..ie:
hose leak, hole in heat exchanger, any leaks will
show rise in engine temp.. might save an engine
I am putting one on my T-Cat before riding this winter!

With EFI if you are not using an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, or a restrictor in the fuel line, then EGT readings shouldn't be of much importance because you cannot tune your fuel delivery. You have to read your plugs and piston wash in order to know what your EGT's are anyway, and because the EFI system tunes your fuel delivery automatically it would seem like a waste of money to me. Just get the water temp gauge.
