Trying to change out the track.Has anyone tried to remove retaining nut that holds on brake disc & driveshaft?I have an 07 z1 & the nut looks like its peened @ the flat spot of the drive shaft like it says to do in the service manual.I borrowed an automotive spanner socket, have a good grip on the nut & parking brake on, but cannot break nut loose. Not sure if I should try grinding away @ the peened area between the nut & the drive shaft or try & use a cordless impact gun on my buddies socket ?I dunno Went for it with impact gun ,it came right off! Thanks for the views!

There is loctite on the nut. try a bit of heat from a small propane torch to melt the loctite. Be very careful not to overheat, as it just takes a small amount of heat to loosen the loctite's grip. Make sure the speed sensor and wire are out of the way.
