Arctic Cat Prowler Lost Power on Rocky Terrain - Possible Belt Issue?

I was ridding Sunday when I came across a rocky section and my prowler lost power.
It was like it shifted into natural, after the RPM’s came down it started going again.
This has happened in the past but there is no patter to it, it is very random.
What could it be? I was thinking the belt any other ideas?

sounds like the belt slipping or possibly jumping into nuetral. How many miles do you have on your Prowler?

I would go ahead and pull off the belt cover, check for any oil in belt cover or on the belt. It should be dry then measure the belt I'm not sure what the tolerances are.

When you say it lost power did it just loose speed or actually loose engine power? A little confused when you say it lost power but RPM's had to come down.

I'm still new to the Prowler BUT

If the belt was slipping wouldn't it trip the belt light?

Do these machines have a tip over sensor that could be getting triggered?

When I say lost power I mean it feels like is goes into neutral.
When I hit a big bump the engine will rev with no power to the wheels.
I let off the gas and wait a couple of seconds then it goes just fine.
