I have a 94 ext 580 efi that im checking out the air temp sensor. does anyone know where I can find a ohms to temp conversion table??
I found one for a batteryless efi but not sure if its the same for a battery efi. Mine is reading 4040 ohms when its about 40 degrees outside and according to the chart, its reading about 112 degrees.

thanks for any help!!

My chart tells me that at 39 F you should have a reading of 4712 Ohms and at 43 F it should read 4316 Ohms. Given that info, your reading of 4040 would be about right at 40 F. There is a slight margin of error in the readings so don't be worried if it's not exactly 100% spot on.

What is your sled doing that you think you have a bad temp sensor?

THANKS AF FOR THE INFO, I JUST GOT THE SLED FROM A GUY WHO LIVED IN THE BLACK HILLS. I DROVE IT OUT THERE AND RUN OK, BUT SEEMED TO BE RUNNING RICH. T CHANGED THE PRIMARY CLUTCH SPRING FROM YELLOW SPRING TO A RED SPRING FOR LOW ELEVATION AND NOW IT RUNS SUPER RICH, FUEL LEAKING OUT FROM THE EXHAUST GASKETS. I HAVE CHANGED THE PLUGS COUPLE TIMES BUT STILL THE SAME. SINCE I DONT KNOW THE HISTORY OF THE SLED, I JUST STARTED CHECKING THINGS, COMPRESSION, TPS AND ETC. THE COMPRESSION IS 125 AND WIRING ALL LOOKS OK. I DIDNT GET TO TEST IT OUT MUCH HERE BEFORE THE SNOW ALL MELTED.
