Hello from Tulsa OK I wanted to know if anyone knew how to adjust the pump on the 700 diesel for more power.

Here's a link to an earlier thread on the topic... there are
a few guys who've successfully tuned up their diesels with
good results... to my knowledge no one has done a good
write up with specific instructions yet though...

Other Diesel tuning thread...

On there, he (D700), has a complete write up on the tune-up for the diesel. If you have any questions, he or I can try and help out.

The diesel already has 4:10 gears and there are no clutch parts available yet for the diesel. You could have a spring made to meet your needs.[/b]
Im not sure what the diesel clutches look like but im assuming there kinda the same...so you could change the weights by drilling them or getting heavier. Is it possible to clock the secondary? Any one have pics.

According to the parts diagram on catbargains.com the 700 Diesel has the standard Cat 3.6 gear ratio diffs. I dunno

Hummmm, Ok let me start over, I am sure the Arctic Cat dealer I bought my 07 from told me the gears were 4:10 because I asked him and he looked it up. Now the 08 models may have had some changes or they could have changed anytimg during 07. The information froim AC when I purchased mine was 4:10. I dunno

Seems that all I had to do was search the Arctic Cat Diesel 700 service manual to find the answer for this question. Looks like AC has installed three gear sets in the diesel. Here is the info:

All gear cases are tagged beneath a cover bolt. This tag
is marked with a production date code, sequence code,
and a ratio code.
A. A “6” or “3.6” on the lower-right corner indicates
a 3.6:1 gear set ratio (10:36 teeth).
B. A “1” or “3.1” on the lower-right corner indicates
a 3.1:1 gear set ratio (11:34 teeth).
C. A “4.0” on the lower-right corner indicates a
4.0:1 gear set ratio (9:36 teeth).

Thanks for that info D700!
Just got back in from looking at the diesel, and I've got the 3.6 gears
