Not a comman sled?

 

We have one. With the short track, it is bouncy on washboard trails. The 570 engine has lots of zip. It can dig itself in a hole if off in soft snow. On hard pack snow, you can go 70+. We have not used it as a Mountain Machine. I would think the short track would be limiting there also.

 

This ones is a 136. Same as yours? It handles the trails alright then?

 

Yes it is the 136. Handles fine, peppy, easy to work on and maintain.

 

We have multiple 570s for wives/kids/loaners. They do just fine, as long as you're not expecting to keep up with the 800s. They are smooth and warm, and the 136 does pretty good with something that light.

Thinking of looking at an ( 2004 ) Mountain Cat 1M 570 for the girlfriend.
She wants to do about 50/50 on trail off trail.
How they handle on trail ?
I have a high country so we don't fly down the trails or anything lol what kind of top speed could we expect ?
She 5 ft tall and 115 lbs so was thinking something smaller might be easier for her to handle offtrail.

We have one of those ( our has reverse ) and it is a great sled.
I have made the following modifications to it:
* King Cat-900 Shocks and springs.
* King Cat-900 Air box.
* SLP PowderPro skis.
* WRP seat.

Everyone has been great updates for the overall handling.

Top speed is about 55-60 mph on hard pack.

 

Just picked up a 02 MC 570 with the 136. I'm 240 lbs and I'm planning to use this to get use to some off trail riding and get something bigger next year.
