2003 900 MC Airbox mods

What kind of Air box mods should I be doing to my 2003 900 MC which are best.

Here's what I did to mine.

Removed the shelf and horns, and cut out a portion of the top.

Placed humidifier foam in the tool box, and cut apart an oil jug to form a seal with the hood and dash.

Moved the tach to the right side, and cut out the center portion of the blank and glued in a piece of speaker shield.

Flange that is very nice how you did that I saw on another post someone used 4" pvc elbow and routed it to the airbox but I like yours much better. I am going to copy yours thanks again. I see your from Calgary nice pics I am from North Dakota we have not had decent snow since 1997 here maybe this will be our year.

I've seen "kits" to this affect (SLP?) but I like your resourcfullness, Flange on doing it yourslef and saving $$ in the process. Afterall the snow/air doesn't care what it looks like under the hood. Probalby niether the rider, when he's having fun out there. Looks like I might wanna consider this, for the bog problem, too. Along with the other items I mentioned on the other thread. If it's okay, I"m going to post these pictures on my 1M page.
