its possible that the coolant wasn't burped correctly, but you need to be certain about this, as you could put the motor in jeopardy! bikeme2001 is correct.[/b]
Burped? :-s Sry, I am not familiar with that term. And through out the day it did not go passed 72 deg C or 162 def F. But normaly its around 140deg F or 60 C. I was constantly checking for leaks and my fluid level and no leaks and the fluid lvl did not change. Thank you keep it comming.

burped is getting all the air out of the system, you jack the front end of the sled up about 3ft and fill the coolant through the rad cap not the over flow bottle and with the cap off you squeeze the upper coolant hose where the rad cap is and you will see air bubbles come out and you keep adding coolant until you get no more air out then your full, one tiny little air bubble in the system could kill the motor from being over heated and it may not even show up on the temp gauge. But make sure you keep your over flow bottle with plenty of coolant in it.

Ah, I see. I call that bleeding. I did not do that when I got the sled becaus I figured it was not needed, I just toped it up and went on... Could this have been the problem? But then there is still the question of why it was empty in the first place, and why it randomly cut out on me... Like I did some good riping on saturday then it cut out on me on sunday morning, could this be because an air bubble got in and..? Thank you keep r comming.
