I have a problem with my quad. Once warm and when going slower (working, hauling, turn off and on again) it starts running terrible and will not idle at all. To clear it out I go full speed for a while and it seems to clear out and idle fine. It takes a minute or so. I cannot always duplicate this or I would have taken it to the dealer. It seems to have two bad states, one is just a little running bad and not idling and the other is really bad and will barely start. It runs fine when cold. I am not much of a quad mechanic but I do all of my sled repairs including engines.

I have tried changing fuel with fresh and have changed the spark plug but no go.

I know it is a Suzuki engine and is EFI.

what is the tps at?
Use this guide and tell me what it shows...should say 00 - the dash should be centered
Nyroc's ATV info website

ok I checked the TPS and when warm(running rough) the line is on top instead of the middle. No amount of adjustment makes a difference or moves the line even with the screws completely out. After cooling off I can adjust the line top bottom or center. Does this mean i need a new TPS?

You want to adjust it while the atv is not running. Start the atv and let it warm up. Shut it off and adjust the TPS so the line is in the center with the atv still off BUT the key in the ON position. You are getting rough idle because your TPS is not set properly and is causing to much fuel to be delivered under no or light throttle. Once you get it right, it will idel smooth again.

Yeah if you can't get it to set the sensor is probably toast...my step brother had the same issue. If your not sure find someone with one to try but your dealer should take the part back if it doesn't fix it. If it doesn't next would be ecu I guess but I doubt it
