Hey gang,

I'm running a '94 ZR700 engine in my old Wildcat. Last weekend it broke the top edge of the piston and left a deep gouge in the cylinder wall right above the exhaust port.

So today I have been shopping around and found a '95 Wildcat 700 efi cylinder and piston at a decent price.

The ZR700 cylinder has the part # 3003-458 and the Wildcat is 3003-756. What is the actual difference and can I run the Wildcat efi jug on the ZR's engine?

Both machines use the same piston part #.

I am certain the answer is no! The Zr has different porting, Thats what I was told years ago,(when I was looking for the same). which gave the ZR a little more power, about 10hp. You would have to put matching Wildcat cylinders for it to run properly.
