The throttle lever pressure on my wife's 2000 ZL500 is just a tad stiff. It works smoothly, but compared to a 2002 Indy 500 and a new Doo, the pressure required is noticibly higher.

Is there any way to put 'lighter' springs in the carb/throttle mechanism to make the throttle flipper operate easier?

Many years ago, I had a sled with really stiff carb springs. I simply cut some of the spring off. (I think a coil or two, can't remember exactly) This of course is a "garage logic" fix, there are better ways to go about getting the result. If you can find one, a lighter spring swap would be a good idea, and a "trigger" type throttle to help fatigue is also a nice option.

If it were mine, I'd slice the spring again. It's free, and it works. :beer_cheers:
