Is there any trick to putting the hood back on? I can't get the tab on the left side to lock in. I line up the air intake at the front and push it back all the holes line up so I put all the screws back in but the tab will not lock in. Can not see anything that is preventing it from going down and locking in. I could push the right side down so it would lock in but not the left side.

Sorry, but what tab are you talking about? Make sure that the speedo connector near the bars is out of the way & not binding anything.
There are two tabs that lock in parallel to the pull rope. I took my sled down to my companies heated shop and played around with it. Took me about three tries to get it back on properly. It is a pain in the ass. But now I know how to do it.
Some silicon spray on the intake rubber were the two pieces slid together helps.
