hey i was reading an old thread about different seats on the zr3 chassis and im not really a fan of the boss seats but one guy that i saw had a wrp mountain assault seat on his sled and it looked great and looked nice and high and had they great lightweight mountail look to it! and im wondering if those seats and other for the mountain cats are just a direct fit for a 2002 zr600 cross country edition? i know the guy said he had to cut off the plastic that runs under the stock seat but other than that im wondering if it will just bolt right up and have good fitment? i was also wondering if anyone knows what the weight of the aftermarket seats are compared to the stock seats? im mostly looking for the better sitting position but i know there is weight savings to be had with these seats as well. thanks for all info and help

i read the post from the guy with the cc he had to do a bit of work to get it to look right. not many options for seats these days but if u have any fabing ability anything can be made to fit. i personally am looking at a wrp assault seat also for my hybrid crosss over 02 sled im workin on

I jus put a crossfire seat on my 02 its 4 inches taller and feels alot more agressive

07 crossfire the seat is to long so i trimmed the foam i had to modify the cfire skeletin base to fit. Also i left my stock seat base hooked to the tank and on the sled but i took the original foam and seat cover off and to mount it wasnt bad i made hooks in the front and bolted the rear down it was intimidating to do but once i got tore in to it it was easy. I really wanted to do a wrp seat but didnt wanna spend the cash amd i got the crossfire seat for 100
