Why??????

Because they are so damn cool when you're done!!! Cat happy Not worthy:

Which way do you think you're going to go...Straight line speedster, or awesome off trail sled?
Trail Ported , BMP y and single pipe with a boondocker and some of my clutch work.
just a faster than stock trailbuggy.
Got to slow it down a little as most of my riding
is with my 15 year old son

I just got it back from the welder, I had the front heat exchanger welded up.

Also made some reinforcing plates to rivet on the side of the tunnel
where all the 07 Crossfire's kink. Mine isn't bad there, just a little distorted.
If you look on the 08 and newer models, they stamped a "#" to make it stronger in this area.
My plates should do the trick.

Going to sandblast it and get it ready for paint

I found a killer 3 stage orange paint in the PPG Vibrance colors
I would like to use, but it is expensive.
It's $218 a quart for the base orange color, then $218 a quart for the
Orange Pearl essence mid coat. Then I have to buy primer, sealer, reducer, clear and activator for the clear.
With the sand for sandblasting and all the needed paint supplies, I can
see around a $800 material bill.

Anyone interested in donating to the "Save A Snowmobile Foundation"...
Get in touch with me please.

Apparently you haven't seen any of my sleds before

Here is one I did about 3 sleds ago when it was in
American Snowmobiler Magazine

That paint is about 1/3 the cost of the powder coating I did on this one

I got the tunnel stiffeners on and sandblasted the chassis, Now off to the paint booth
