I have a 99 300 4x4. Got it used in August 06. I noticed the front wheels were sloppy and the brakes had the multiple pump syndrome so I replaced the bearings and all was well

I noticed last time out (I can't have more than 25-30 miles on it since August) that the double pump brakes were back, sure enough, wheels are all sloppy again and it's not the ball joints or anything.

I bought Arctic Cat Parts and had the arctic cat dealer press the bearings in.
What could be causing this?
Are the Cat parts junk or something?

Thanks!

To have the bearing get loose that quickly would lead one to believe that there's a problem somewhere else. Possibly the axles? Even a cheap bearing will last a lot longer than that. Look for a deeper problem. Also, when buying bearings, you can save a lot of money by going to a bearing specialist such as an SKF or Timken or who ever else is available. Often they have a shop to do bearing work. You might want to bring your machine to the bearing shop to have them check your axles for trueness. Don't take much to have an axle off centre.

Gotcha. When I got the machine the bearings were pretty far gone, good chance that the axle got messed up. I didn't look closely but I don't recall seeing any major wear on it. I suspect I'll end up taking back to the dealer or at least get their input....

Thanks!
