I had the same question a couple years ago but can't find my post. 660catman had the part number for the tool and also a pic of one he had made for it.
I didn’t make that tool however I wanted to. Friggin’ expensive too! I’ve heard some guys using a large two jaw puller on the wheel. However you may break a wheel.

I have the tool in the picture. Works well. Should have bought in years ago. With the price of the wheels now you will pay for 1/2 of the tool doing one sled and not destroying the wheels

damn.
in the past i have taken the c lip off the wheel, then pulled the wheel off the bearing.
then pulled the bearing off.
looks like i will be doing it the old way...

if i got this tooll, what is the way to reinstall the wheel and bearing at the same time?

It’s got to be one of those pipes and the tool description says to remove and install the bearings.

Put the wheel together and use a bearing driver to seat it in place. Same as you would with out the wheel on it

Can you modify an automotive ball joint removal tool to work? Just thinking out loud...
It might, but think the jaws will have to be wide enough to go behind the idler. Cut a piece of metal to go from jaw to jaw with a notch cut in it to go over the axle. Then maybe put a very short piece of pipe, again with a notch, over the axle and up against the bearing in the wheel. even an old bearing race cut may be better.
I was thinking of doing something like that, but instead of a ball joint tool using another piece of metal bar. two pieces of ready rod, or long bolts, between them through holes drilled, and a tighten the bolts/nuts with the center of the second bar up against the end of the axle. Can see it in my head but doesn't look the same typed out.
i orderd a captured bearing removal tool from a different supplier.
i will post how that goes.
it was $42 for the whole kit
Barn Of Parts make a nifty puller for that upper idler, it's $45. worth it.
think that will work on the older sleds?
Looks like it does the job!
Was it much of a job to get the wheel off of the bearing first?
nope
pull the c-clip off the inside of the wheel.
then i tapped the wheel off with a rubber mallet

I just did this on my 98 ZR 600. With a 90-degree tip, you can get the c-clip off. I did have my skid frame pulled out from my sled. I then use a 3 prong bearing puller, and the wheel slid right off. Then I used it on the bearing, and it came right off. Assembled new bearing in wheel and used a long reach socket and tapped it into place. Worked like a charm. Thanks, Google, for the search that had a video of how this works.
