What fuel oil ratio is everybody running?

I've noticed that the vintage cats say to run a 20:1 ratio. I am fairly new to the vintage sled scene. I have heard that you can run a much higher ratio, as the oil of today is much better than that of yesteryear. What ratio are you guys running and what is your preferred oil... I've been using the Castrol, any other good ones?

Picked up a gallon of Amsoil HP Injector for my '72 399 and '73 440, both Cheetahs, for the races this weekend. Looks like it's going to be 30 degrees. Will I still be OK at 50:1?
Just a question, why do you run injection oil in a can shaker? Shouldn't you run an oil that is designed for premix or does the can/jug/bottle say injection and premix?I dunno

Seams premix oil is the cheapest.

You'll be way good with 50:1, I run 50:1 in all my sleds with HP Injector, not a problem yet.

Does running a leaner mix have an effect on the viscosity of the gas? If it does affect it much, does it require any changes to the carburation? I just started running the Amsoil at 50:1. Sled seems to run slightly "doggier." Could this be due to the gas being thinner?
