So after fixing up my grandpa's old 1978 Panther 4000, I really dont know what an old sled like this can handle. Im obviously not going to rip it really hard, but I want to have some fun other than going fast and straight. Would the suspension take a small jump?

i dont recommend it. I trail rode a 79 panther for years and was shocked to see bent mounting bars just from hard bumps on the trails. Just go fast and straight...LOL. They are fun sleds. but, they are curisers, not jumpers.

Go out in a big field, make a big oval track with your sled, find some other vintage sleds and race them. You combine cornering, with speed, and braking. Then go home and work on them the rest of the week. LOLCat happy
