I found out why my left handwarmer doesn't work - the wire is broke at the plug near the base of the bars.

Can I simply cut out the plugs their and splice in some new wire, with wire nuts and tape? The wire is very thin, but I think I could work with it.

I got a closer look at this yesterday - does anyone have a wiring diagram? It is a small green wire going into the harness from the warmer, but I don't see a green only coming out, there is green/white and green/black. Not sure what to splice into. I'll try to get a pic later.

Looked like it got kinked and broke because the wires were too far down between the tank and steering post, I pulled them up and have tons of slack now.

I decided not to cut into the wire, and am going to try something else this weekend. It looks like the plug is similar to a 4 prong trailer harness plug (except that it is only 3 prongs) . I'm going to see if I can splice that in, this way I don't have to cut the wires on both sides of the current harness.

Think it will work? I'll post pictures if it does.
