Hi guys, Just wondering if i can splice into the DC power coil to run a temp gauge? will this affect the operation of my APV servomotor? how much voltage is put out from this coil? Thanks!

Any recommendation for a Temp gauge?. I think i would prefer a digital one.

Just get a Cat gauge kit. Plug-n-play.

The DC power coil is a fairly heavy coil similar to the lighting coil. It powers both the APV system and the CDI. The coil itself off the stator is still producing AC voltage so the name is a little misleading, but the voltage is converted to DC through regulators. It should be possible to pull DC voltage off it, but from a personal preference I like to leave ignition components alone. Splice the wrong wire or have something come loose on the trail and you're stuck.
