National Forest Dev Road 2449...419 out of Wetmore to 8 (At Chamberlain Road) you can connect to FS 2449 and take it all the way to HWY 13 where it meets with The Buckhorn Rd.

The FS Dev roads are all pretty short (I'd say none run more than a few miles without being blocked...but you can see the connectors pretty well on Google Earth. I'm working on a pet project through U.P. Overland that could very well be the most interactive map available.

copy this into Google Earth...that's the start...then it heads south and connects with Hwy 13.

And yeah, some of the trails are turning to crap. We're getting pounded with snow right now though :D

I hope the snow keeps falling up there. Driving up to Eagle River, WI on the 30th, riding up to Copper Harbor, down towards Hurley, and then back to E.R. I love the U.P. trails!

Just got back from a volleyball game and we had almost 6" in the driveway. Just 'scooped' it out earlier today so this is good...real good.
We're looking down the barrel of a loaded Lake Effect storm the next couple days too.

:)

Any of you come to the Munising area shoot me a PM. Even if we don't ride (which, dammit, we should) we can catch a beer.
There are 3 or 4 "very fun" places to play around here.....and none of them are on a marked trail ;)

As soon as I finalize my studding options with John, I'll be ski's up on the hills ;)
