i studded my track, and it seemed way too tight, so i backed it off prob a half an inch at the most, but when i lift the sled the track barly hangs down, i just want to know how to mesure, someone said use a fish scale in the centre of the track and pull down??????????????????

a generl rule is approx 20lbs hanging on track at center and approx 3/4 inch drop, studded tracks may require more tension to prevent track ratcheting, track tightening can be done without loosening rear axle lock bolts,

If your track is currently racheting I alway go 1 turn on each side until the ratchet is gone. Hammer on it on hard pack or ice and see, just don't get carried away while it's ratcheting! Carry the wrenches with you. That way its always as loose as possible and tight as needed.
