I have a 2001 Z440 Sno-Pro, its a new machine in the box and I am starting to get confused on the Timing. The machine has a timing knob for advancing and retarding. I have it at zero right now, what are the needs for changing and when do you need to change it. I will be running it in a cross country race.

Thanks, Daniel

If you would like to run higher octane fuel to get more get-up then you can change the timing to +3 to inginte the fuel at a proper time. It is for fine tuning the performance of the machine when in racing situations. Get a 2001 sno-pro manual from your dealer and it will tell you all about it.

I have the performance manual and it doesn't say when it needs to be adjusted, I just don't want to start turning it without knowing what to expect.
