I don't honestly know - as it had been filled by a repair shop, so I would assume a 10w-40, I have just checked the oils here - I presume it was topped up by a 5W30.
I realize the shoes likely need to be replaced, - how do I find the exact part number for a part(used to working with tractor user manuals and parts books). I have downloaded the Arctic Cat 2003 All Service Manual. As I started to take the ATV apart yesterday, I made note of the new parts I will need - like a gasket for the cover over the clutch assembly. Thanks ahead of time, maxxflys

Country cat has a parts fiche that you can look up your machine and it has exploded parts diagrams with part numbers. You must use wet clutch safe oil in arctic cats. Shell rotella t6 full synthetic is used by many. It cannot contain any friction modifiers and personally I wouldn't use any oil that wasn't wet clutch rated JASO-MA

What doorfx said....

Including Amsoil 0W-40 Powersports oil as well:lol:

Also look into a wet clutch delete kit, have heard it wakes these machines right up...Cat happy
