Debating on Turbo 1100 or 1000 crossfire or F1000. I still have TRUSTY OL' T-Cat that is SLIGHTLY modded. I was wonderin' what you folk's THINK or SPECULATE these new machines will do $ for $ against ol' TRUSTY. Top end, drag's,whatever? MIGHT hafta order a new one of these?? That Turbo sounds interesting if it holds up and can turn on the BOOST!!! I know it's early but give me your guess's or odds. THANKS and keep it REALISTIC and clean. Not worthy: Cat happy

I think the Z1 turbo will be the hot ticket on the lakes. Gobs of torque over a wider powerband. A little more power than the best of the stock T-Cats and I doubt they are much heavier. Those T-Cat are heavy procreators!

Good to see the early responses, like I said, just talk because we'll have to wait and see what actually happens on the ice and snow! I am thinkin' about MAYBE getting one or the other. Not tryin' too disagree Freeze but I've seen Mach Z's in the twins and they don't seem to run as good as the older Mach Z triples, stock or hopped up! I just wish these new machines didn't cost so much!! I thought a T-Cat was nuts a few years ago to buy new but they were (cheap) to what a new machine costs now. Of course the cost of living and everything else has gone up,(except MY wages) so nowadays you want too be sure of what you buy. Lets see what more of you folks think!! Thanks Again!!! Cat happy

The 128 Crossfire 1000 will be a beast, and will have great mod potential. The Turbo Z1 is a whole different animal, it is heavy, but if you are looking at only straightline drag racing and crusing the trail this may be your ticket. This is running low pressure, like 9 PSI, so I think there is a lot of mod potential with this sled. The torque of the Z1 turbo and a studded track would be phenominal.

That's easy, the T-Cat will be the best bang for the buck as it is already paid for!

I have a T-Cat now, just wonderin' how this new iron will run against it with a FEW mods  and Freeze I wouldn't argue that a Mach Z is faster than those sleds you mentioned stock, but a Mach Z twin don't worry me much and I've ran a bunch of those and F 1000's on the lakes and at speed runs they don't impress me for what people put in them for $$$. I already know on the lakes a person stays away from a Yamaha 1000 with a turbo unless you want to buy beer OR soda at the next stop. Not worthy: I am a diehard CAT fan and this TURBO and Xfire have me interested, good to see these new machines for us LAZY groomed trail runners and lake racers!!!

Agreed...those turbo Yamaha's are seriously fast on the top end. Not worthy:

IMO....the '09 turbo Cat will BE the sled to beat!
