I know my ZRT rings only go on one way. The ring groove is tapered on either the top or bottom...can't remember. If you try to put it on upside down it won't go. Not sure if the t cat is the same. Also sometimes the rings have markings on one side near the open end. The mark goes up.

I don't think he wants to. I'm sure hes asking so he doesn't put them on wrong.
