hey guys,every now and then when shutting my sled off it backfires pretty loudly and a couple of the guys i ride with say they see flames shooting out the muffler when it does it.any ideas and can the backfiring hurt the motor?thanks

Do you let it idle down after stopping or shut is off quick?

i usually let it idle for a 25 seconds or so before killing it

i always let mine idle down. same thing with my old f5. if you killed motor right away when motor was still reving over 2,000 rpm it would back fire.
