I've got 2 buds will bullet fast F5's. Both of them will run with a stock 700 crossfire bottom to top. Maybe a length advantage to the crossfire. Yes the F5's are tuned well, but the engines are stock.
It's all up to the ability to clutch and tune really. Out of 15 sleds on the lake this weekend in 1500' my Crossfire 7 was quickest, my buds box stocker was about 10-12th. Not saying I'm a clutch guru by any means, I know just enough. Only one sled was a 500 and that was the F5. I think there were 2-3 600's and the rest 700's. F5 was consistently in the top 3!
This weekend will be a different story on the Crossfire. 2000 of ice...too far for a crossfire.
