First of all pardon my bad english...

I have noticed a "sloppy" feeling in the steeringshaft after 100miles (new M7 141 -06).
If you look down below the handlebars, about 4" beneath the start of the stearingshaft you can clearly see there is a small gap (poorly fitted) between the shaft and the wall. When you pivot left, right, front and back you have a feeling that something is not really tightend. It looks like it's the shaft that hits the wall when you pivot.

Perhaps this is perfectly normal?
This is my first snowmobile i have to ask... :D

Thanks in advice!

There are two bolts directly below where the steering post goes in. As soon as you open the hood there is a flat metal plate in front of the steering post with two bolts. Tighten the nuts and it snugs up the steering....worked for me. Tried to find a diagram but couldn't, if I find one I will post.

Here we go....

The two holes in the plate (#17 on the diagram) are where you will find the lock nuts to tighten.

I also found one of the big allen screws on the right side spindle coming loose one day, making for a lot of "slop". Check the whole thing.

Good luck,
John
