I have a near new ACT Shock with a couple burrs on the shaft that are just enough to catch a fingernail. The shaft seal is only lasting part of a season before starts blowing its oil...I think from the burrs

The replacement shaft is $90  I'm wondering if smoothing it out with some 1200 grit and then polishing will solve the problem, or if I have to spring for a new shaft?

Anyone have a good shaft with a bad tube they'd like to part with?

Check with a shock rebuilder. I had mine replaced and it was $19.00.

You can get steel or stainless steel too.
