Last week my Sabercat efi LX seized up on me. It was in the UP and we were going pretty fast. As luck would have it, my warranty expired four weeks ago. The dealer is working with Cat, I had it serviced this fall, use only APV, maintain the sled well. Looks like both cylinders are shot or at least everything inside them. The dealer told me it's an $800 job.
Has anyone had luck getting Cat to pay for a repair after the warranty expired? I'm not sure how much my dealer is pushing the issue with Cat. The sled does have 2,200 miles on it.
So I told them to fix it so I can ride it again, and if Cat doesn't help, I may write a letter to Cat and try a little more and maybe they will at least pay for the parts.
Thanks for any feedback.
