REMOVING THE MOTOR

Hi All
I'm removing the engine in my 2004 650 V2 (it blowed up) I got everything disconnected minus the front and rear drive shafts. Looking at them I can't see a way to remove them without seperating a u-joint, or unbolting the diff. and trying to move it so to slip out the drive. It just seems that there should be an easier way, probably not, but just thought I would ask

It'll be incredibly helpful if you have another buddy there to help. What I've done is have CrazyYooper lift the engine up and back, then the front will come off. Then, you can move the engine forward and the rear will come off....or is it the other way around (rear off first). Either way, you'll need an extra set of hands...or a cherry picker or pulley in your rafter...just something to hoist the engine a bit.
