I have a 1997 454 Bearcat I picked up and cannot determine how to remove the ignition key. Any help would be appreciated.

Well we all know it's usually simple and turn to off position and pull key out. Sounds like it may be seized in there? If so spray some lubricant like PB blaster in their and let soak.

It's locked in like there is a mechanism that needs to be actuated to release the key. The key has a hard rubber boot around it that keeps the elements from getting into the switch and also doesn't allow you to get access to spray anything in.

There’s no mechanism and it’s probably the tumblers are seized. Rubber boot actually pulls off as seen in my picture of my key.
