How can I tell if a sled has this feature?

My dad says his 04 Sabercat has it but he cannot find the fob

I think he is mistaken and it was his 02 ZL that had the remote start

Perhaps it was both, how can I tell

On the ZL's the remote start unit was located in the plastic case where the ecu and tools are. It is a black box about 3" square and has a single antenna wire that runs out thruogh the front with the other wires. Not sure how the sabercats were designed but there should also be a spring loaded hood switch that shuts the machine down if you open the hood without the key turned on. Just look for that safety switch if you can't find the little black box. On the ZL's it is in line with the steering column

Yup, as Roy said above, easiest thing to look for is the hood pin. Also, is his Sabercat a LX ? What cc is it? In order for it (Sabercat) to have the remote start it has to be the 600 or 700 LX .

Found the hood switch on a diagram.
If it has a hood switch does that mean it has to have the remote start

If pin is there look for a 3" box with a clear/white cover on the firewall almost directly under the pin switch. You prob have it.
