I just had my handlebars raised 12 inches on my '03 Mountain Cat 900. It has a 3" swivel and a 9" block for a total of 12". I can now stand up without looking like the Hunchback of Notre Dame. I'm concerned that I will bend or break my steering column with that much hight added to it. Does anyone know of a good way to reinforce the column to help prevent this? Is it possible to put a metal rod into the column to strengthen it? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I know Chad rebec at CR racing in kelowna, B.C. will custom build you a titanium steering post.
He built me one for my M7 3 inches taller than stock...its also way stronger than the stock post, and a perfect fit when i intalled it.
Chad does great work !

Your gonna have trouble with even the upper steering support that high. Gonna take some revamping of everythign i would think.

I'm 6'8" and 260lbs. I've always climbed sitting because I just moved my butt from side to side to shift my weight. With the 12" rise I can stand up with my arms out straight and don't have to bend over.
