I just installed the rear sway bar kit for the independent rear suspension Arctic Cat on my old 2001 AC 500 manual shift, straight rear axle. Very easy install, you will need a couple small muffler clamps to mount the bushing mounts to the frame. A few pictures. Got the kit from Country Cat. Took about 1 hour to install. You have to bend the mount for the end link to fit the control arms. Sway bar should just clear bottom of the air box when finished. No longer will you fear corners. AC PN 0436-744

Was that bar supposed to be on an IFS frame? I don't know how well your retaining system is going to work. If it works for you, though, great! I had two 500's with the ACT suspension. Wish I still had either one.

What kit is that? I want one for my 03 500. It would help to slide it through the corners instead of all of the body roll. Stiffer springs helped a lot, but I want more.
