Rear axle seal on gearcase - OEM or aftermarket? Part No: 2402-150

I was curious if the OEM seals are better than aftermarket? Aftermarket are definitely lower cost and a bit quicker delivery for where I live.

I just changed all 4 of mine with OEM ones a couple of weeks ago. I’d be worried whether aftermarket fits the gear case nicely and is easy to install. The Cat ones were very easy to do.
I had issues with aftermarket CV boots, returned them and got Cat ones.

Thank you. I see a couple Canadians responded. Where are you getting your parts from?
I've had no issue with anything all balls. And honestly, OEM isn't made by the brand you own 95%+ of the time.
Arctic Cat isn't making seals.

Being from automotive manufacturing, even when they do design something, other than say the castings for the engine housing, it's all off the shelf items. They design the drive shaft seal openings based on available seals. They don't make a front diff, then have a seal maker custom design a seal.

So with that being said, when I bought my drive seal, it just had an AC OEM sticker over top the actual manufacturer sticker.

Many brands like all balls, maybe they make bearings, but to expand the business they sell the same seal for less, because AC is charging $32 for a seal they bought for $2. So I'll get the same seal from all balls for $16 and be happy AC didn't rape me again.

I get mine from the dealer I deal with.

Local dealer, arcticcatparts.ca, fortenine are all places I've shopped. Some have a lot, some have less. But the dealer is almost always more expensive.

Arcticcatparts.ca is 27.44 each seal. I paid 25.95 at the dealer.

I use their site for parts lookup. They are always a couple dollars more, plus shipping. But the other sites tend to be cheaper. But sometimes they just don't have the needed part like the dealer.
