I have a 2005 m6 that I ride out west with but it lacks power at times when I need it, I'm thinking of putting a 800 top end on it and was wondering if this is possible? Would any 800 cylinders from that year work or just m8s? Would I have to replace the ecu or can it be flashed? Thanks

You will find the 800 cylinders will not fit the case it is a totally different engine including the crankshaft.

Even if they would fit you still need to change the head, exhaust, ECU, clutching set-up and possibly the EFI throttle bodies. A very cost prohibitive project.

If an 800 is your desire it would be more advanatgeous to sell the M6 and look for a 2009 or newer M8. You get a lighter sled with engine reverse. The 2010 and 2011 have another 20HP to play with.
