Hi all went out across the lake and coming back smelled something burning under hood got almost home and noticed brake handle getting hard and when I got it in the yard pads were smoking hot. I bled them about a week ago and they seem to work good FOR the first ride now they seem like they wont back off the rotor any help thanks

Open the bleeder screw, if it stops dragging then your hose is bad, if it is still dragging then your caliper is bad.

The same thing happened with my dads 583, the problem was a air bubble in the line. The breaks worked fine for a while then after a few wot pulls the brake handle was really firm and the rotor was smoking. I bled it out again and found the master had a small leak that was letting air in.

OK if I open the bleeder that will let air in. Or do i have to hold the break handle in then do it thanks
