I just got back from almost (thank you egt) melting my sled in NEK. Here is my Question:
Had a 30 pilot now a 40 and it seems leaner, Is the larger jet more air possibly or more fuel? Temp spikes just off throttle than comes down when I get to my needle and main jet. Try riding like that for 70 miles without just cracking the throttle, nerve racking... Which way to get her more gas? My plugs are scary white.
Thanks

I put 40 pilots in my ZRT when I went big bore and it sucked the fuel like crazy. I was getting 5 MPG until I went back to the stock 35 pilots.

40 is definitely richer than 30. Maybe pull the carbs and pilot jet out, spray carb clean into the pilot port and ensure it sprays into the throat cleanly. Only thing I can think of is that the passage is clogged
