So I just wanted to share the install of Over The Top Ice Scratchers I did on a 2008 F5 and a 2016 Bearcat 3000 LT. Both were able to be installed in existing holes on the rails. Both required slight modification of the holders so it would stay and and not slip out of it. On the Bearcat I did have to oval out the hole the bolt when through as the two holes were a bit too far apart.

This is the F5 in the up position.

This is the F5 in the down position, on the floor is the packaging.

This is on the Bearcat in up.

Yes we finally did, was low snow weekend before the last wave of northeasters. My wifes F5 tunnel was covered with snow ice and had no issues cooling. My and my friends sleds had picks and we were boarder line over temping only did a couple times. The last sled in group had no scratchers or picks and it kept over temping and once the slides stuck to the track. Our sleds probably didnt over temp much cause we kept stopping for that one. Ill be putting thwm on my sled too now.

Ok guess I will be putting them on my 2011 F8 800 next season as I was having the temp flashing on my gauge quite a bit..especially going through closed in trails at slow speed

It looks to me like they stick way to far out and they are to far back. You'd be doing a lot more justice to your slides having the scratchers much closer to the track, and mounting them as close as possible to the front part of the skid. Just my 2 cents.

Well where i mounted them required no drilling of new holes and from the amount of caked on ice dust and the wetness of the entire skid when they were drployed they work great where they are.
