You really need to know exactly how much oil you went through, as well as your gas consumption. I can't say what your ratio is, but it does seem high if your oil light came on that quick.

Guessing here .... let's just say for easy calculating you averaged 10mpg ... that would put you at 13.7 gallons of gas. That's 1753 ounces of gas. If you added 47 ounces of oil, that would put you right around 37:1 (1753 / 47 = 37 and some change). You may be alright if you got better mileage, but it would be best to spend some time calculating the exact numbers.

I am gonna guess you got 12mpg.

137/12mpg = 11.5 gals

11.5 gals = 1472 ounces gas

1472 ounces of gas div by 47 ounces of oil = 31:1

Your using WAY too much oil.

Should be in the 50:1 to 60:1 range

Run again and keep track of actual gas/oil use and refigure.
